TAG Heuer Mens Link Calibre S Chronograph Watch CJF7110 BA0587

Featuring an exclusive electro-mechanical movement developed and patented by TAG Heuer, this Link Calibre S men’s watch (model CJF7110.BA0587) combines mechanical and quartz timekeeping to offer unrivaled functionality thanks to no fewer than 230 components–including 5 bidirectional motors, ensure very high-precision functions. Its intuitive, easy-to-read chronograph offers 1/100 of a second precision and offers measurement of simple time, split time, and two periods of time that follow at very short intervals. When not used as a chronograph, the two half-moon subdials indicate the date (with a perpetual calendar applicable until 2099). It has a black dial face with shining silver hour markers and luminous hands. It’s matched to a stainless steel bracelet band composed of satin-finished S-shaped links, and the watch case is topped by a tachymeter (used for measuring time over distance). Other features include an anti-reflective scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)–

5 Stars Love it
Ordinarily I might get all technical about a purchase, but in this case (that’s a watch pun, I guess), and for a watch of this type, it’s really more about taste and aesthetics. Heck, if you want to time things to the nanosecond, get a Casio or whatever. Just my opinion.
I bought the watch for myself as a birthday present. I love the way it looks and how the band feels; the ensemble is so well designed that it’s extremely comfortable despite the heft of the stainless case. I like the feature (which I didn’t know about when I bought the watch) that allows one to turn off the moving mechanism, say, overnight; at a press of the crown, the hands zero out to save the battery. Another press in the morning, and the electronics send them back to the right spot. It’s a little worrisome to read that the projected battery life is a couple of years (versus the five years or more that I’ve experienced with other watches), but I haven’t had the watch long enough yet to worry about it. The other comment to make is that buying a watch on the Internet often means that one must do with the vendor’s warranty rather than the manufacturer’s. The discount makes that worthwhile, in my opinion, although of course the high-end sellers and manufacturers disagree.
3 Stars Great Watch, but there is a subject with the accuracy
This watch is excellent. No doubts about that. I got this watch 2 month ago, but I’m not 100% happy with one subject.
With the saphire anti-glare crystal the watch looks very nice. The operation of chronograph is very easy and the time values (with 1/100 sec. accuracy) also very easy to read. The watch is on the heavy side, but with the smooth bracelet you don’t feel it.
My subject is the accuracy. Without using the chronograph, the watch looses 1 sec/week. Thats an acceptable value for such kind of watch. But, if you repeatedly use the chronograph, say some 5 times and play pushing the buttons sometimes, the watch looses 1 second that day. And that’s a problem for me.
Because of that I went to an Official TagHeuer dealer and made a battery change for US$ 25.-, but the situation continue being the same.
4 Stars Great watch, if you have money to burn
Just got this watch and I have to tell you it is really nice. You can dress it us or dress it down. The Saphire Crystal can only be scratched by a diamond or another saphire. It has anti-glare crystal so it looks like it has no glass compared to a regular watch side by side. When it does reflect light, it makes the black bezel look dark blue or sometimes deep purple.
It tells the date by using the two smaller dials that resemble a tachonmeter. It says it has a perpetual calander, so you don’t have to touch it on short months or even leap years… it does it automatically!
I got this for my wedding anaversary… so unless you have just under $3,000 to burn… I would just get someting else..lol.. This is a serious time peice, and looks smart, and tech-wise. This watch suttley states, “it’s a nice watch, and if you only knew how much it costs!” lol
5 Stars Great, classy watch
I looked through hundreds of watches before deciding on this watch for myself. The appeal of a watch’s design is a subjective thing–if you like the look, you like it, otherwise keep on looking. If you like the look, then I can tell you that you will be happy with the purchase. The quality is top notch. It has a nice weight and feel to it. I am also happy that it has chronograph movement and not automatic, so you don’t have to worry about constantly moving or winding it (Why anyone would buy an automatic movement watch is beyond me. They are generally more expensive, require more maintenance, and are less accurate.)
I bought this watch from Amazon.com. Initially, I was a little concerned about buying fine jewelry from Amazon.com, especially since the manufacturer’s warranty would not be in effect. However, I was extremely happy with the condition of the watch and packaging when it arrived in the mail. I am also satisfied with Amazon.com’s warranty that is included in place of the manufacturer’s warranty. Additionally, Amazon.com had the best price for this watch at the time I bought it. It was at least $200 less than any other internet retailer and more than $1,000 less than a store-front retailer.
5 Stars Great watch
This watch is great. It is the best looking watch I have seen in a long time. Date function is unique and works great. A little challenging setting time and date. I am very happy overall.
